Since October 7, 2023, the people of Israel have faced an unprecedented wave of trauma. Reservists, families, and residents of the northern and southern borders are living daily with fear, anxiety, and the weight of emotional pain. This reality affects every aspect of life: sleep, communication, the ability to work, to feel joy, to be present.

SBRT – Skills-Based Resilience Training, or in Hebrew Eitan BaRuach, is a unique, research-based program designed to help people reconnect with their inner strength, regain balance, and rebuild resilience through the body. This program is based on the latest trauma research and inspired by the best-selling book The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk, M.D., and is accompanied by Professor Danny Horesh of Bar Ilan University, a leading expert in trauma research.

Rooted in both modern neuroscience and ancient martial arts principles, SBRT integrates movement, breathwork, safe physical engagement, touch, and play. Participants learn to train their nervous systems, regulate emotions, release chronic tension, and reconnect to themselves and to life. This active, embodied approach empowers individuals to access their innate capacity for post-traumatic growth and resilience.

The program was created by Eran Bert, a martial artist, founder of Team Bert Martial Arts Studio, and resilience trainer who has dedicated his life to developing simple, accessible, body-based tools to help people overcome adversity and return to life. The program was also co-created by Aya Bert, a movement therapist, psychotherapist specializing in dyadic therapy and parent-child therapy, dance teacher, and founder of Guf Merchav Yetzira Dance School.

This science-based, practical, and holistic program has already been experienced by hundreds of participants across Israel:

  • At Team Bert Studio in Tel Aviv

  • At Beit Halochem Tel Aviv

  • In Gaza border communities

  • And in workshops in towns and communities around the country

To continue providing this life-changing opportunity to those who need it most, we invite you to join our campaign.

Your donation will help us:

  • Fund scholarships for reservists, war-affected families, and trauma survivors who cannot afford to participate

  • Launch five new groups in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense’s Resilience Farms and other NGOs

  • Cover fair compensation for trainers, insurance, venue rental, and essential equipment

  • Develop an accompanying mobile app to support daily practice and deepen the process

Donate. Share. Be part of the healing.

Together, we can restore resilience, calm, and hope to people who have been affected by trauma—and help them return to life.
