As the IDF reserve units are now entering the 6th month of deployment against Hamas, and other terrorist threats.
The units who were originally deployed on October 7th, 2023 are being rotated to other units or are returning back to civilian life. This leaves a whole new number of reserve soldiers entering new units who are not outfitted with any type of defensive gear, this is highlighted by the lack of essential tactical equipment experienced by Platoon 4 of Regiment 7037.
Most units are issued a standard issue Israeli M16 rifle, use police vests which are not approved by the army due to their color, and don't have any armor.
This unit receives gunshot fire on a daily basis, including last week when a unit 7037 soldier was shot in a head by a Palestinian policeman, and as such this unit is under severe risk and threat of being shot.

5. Quality tactical helmets - level 3A X 30:
Cost per Helmet: 1,800₪
6. A.Green protective vests X 30: Cost per Vest: 1,300₪
7. Level 4 Ceramic Armour plates X 30 = Front and Back
Cost per Plate: 1,300₪ per item
IsraelGives will manage the donation directly to ensure all funds are directly paid to military suppliers which included fully accounted for delivery of all equipment.
