Can David beat Goliath for the 2nd time???
We are Orbit 1690, a young team that represents Israel in the prestigious world class FRC robotics competition, which is part of the FIRST organization.
Despite a significant lack of resources and equipment, Orbit 1690 is consistently ranked as one of the top 10 teams in the world. We recently won 1st place in the Chezy Champs FRC Tournament held in October 2020 in California, after competing against teams sponsored by Apple, Google, and other leading conglomerates. And we did it all on our own.
Yet now we need your help in winning the upcoming world competition (to be held in Houston in April 2022) and placing Israel as no. 1 in robotics for the first time ever.
In recent years, we have become one of the best teams in the world, by implementing effective, agile, and lean processes, and with a lot of hard work and dedication. We are proud to position Israel as a leading country in robotics, while developing the future generation of entrepreneurs in the startup-nation.
The high school students who are members of this winning team get to experience real, hands-on high-tech work, while designing, developing, and implementing software, robotics, management, and so much more.
However, being a leading team requires great resources. Our competitors have endless access to cutting-edge equipment, large budgets, and vast knowledge, which puts them at a huge advantage.
We have made it this far thanks to a little hutzpa that went a long way, consistently maintaining our place in the top 10 list. Now, however, we need to match our competition, upgrade our workshop, and build a practice field.
For this project, we require US$ 200,000 that will be spent on new machinery (including 3D printers, milling machines, and laser cutting machines) and on setting up a practice field that will include a 23X12 meter concrete casting and light structure.
Helping us will make you a part of this Israeli success!
Please donate now to contribute to the developing of the next generation of Israeli engineers, and to place Israel on the robotics and innovation map.
