Hello, friends around the world. My name is Evyatar; my parents moved to Israel from America, and I was born here. Also in this picture is Awaka, whose parents moved to Israel from Ethiopia; Asaf, whose grandparents fled the pogrom in Morocco to Israel in 1947; Omer, whose grandparents fled the Farhud pogrom in Iraq in 1948; and Yarin, whose grandparents fled to Israel in the wake of Egyptian bombings and riots that chased the Jews out of Egypt in 1948. We are currently serving in the area of Yehuda and Shomron, keeping Jewish citizens safe from terror. Unfortunately, the army had to give our bullet-proof helmets to soldiers in Gaza, and they cannot afford to give us all bullet-proof helmets. Our helmets only protect us against shrapnel, but our enemies are shooting guns at our heads! We would be very thankful if you could donate funds toward this cause. Each bullet-proof helmet costs $536. Anything you can give will help!
