On October 7th 2024 thousands of heavily armed Islamic terrorists conducted a surprise assault into Israel, killing, wounding, and sexually abusing innocent civilians. The grotesque scenes of violence, graphic images and heart breaking stories were broadcast to the world. Within a short time civilians were evacuated and/or called for military service. Families were separated and support systems were not accessible. Many adults and children were left dealing with high levels of anxiety, stress and trauma. The State of Israel found itself in a daunting new reality.

To strengthen the residents of the South of Israel, the non-profit Connections & Links: From Trauma to Resilience (C&L) operates psycho-educational workshops for adults and children to cope with the anxiety and stress which result from constant and cumulative exposure to potential and real threats.

Participants of psycho-educational workshops acquire tools for self-regulation and learn to use their innate natural treasures so they can function and live a life while sensing less stress. Workshops are tailored to each population and organization, whether therapists, teachers, residents.

C&L has worked for over twenty years in Israel. The curriculum is based on a mind-body paradigm, with research based results. Below are two projects we are currently operating:

In the city of Beer Sheva, there are 30 senior citizens and their foreign aid workers who were evacuated from the Gaza envelope. They are temporarily housed in a senior facility. They are unable to return to their homes, indefinitely.

Two workshops (each 15 ppl), for 30 seniors, costs 18,000 NIS or $4,900

The approximate cost per participant is  600 NIS or $165

Two workshops, for 30 foreign aid workers, costs  9,000 NIS or $2,450

The approximate cost per participant is  300 NIS or $81

In the city of Sderot, Ethiopian immigrants (olim) are adapting to a new language, a new culture, and to the countless challenges posed by the current war. We are offering two workshops for female Ethiopian olim, one for the older olim and one for the newer olim (under 2 years in Israel).

Two workshops, for female Ethiopian olim, costs  27,000 NIS or $7,300

The approximate cost per participant is  1,000 NIS or $270

We are very grateful for your decision to support our work. Wishing for better times.
