A Portable Hot Shower Project
for the Iron Sword Troops 

After fighting in the Gaza Strip for weeks, the Israeli military troops needed a prompt field-shower solution. Due to their extensive stay in the battlefield, both in training and in combat, numerous complaints were submitted regarding hygiene issues and skin problems amongst the units on the front lines.

The IDF has an existing field shower system. However, its cumbersome nature makes it insufficient and inefficient for moving troops in a combat zone.

As such, we assembled a group of experts in logistics, event & field operations in order to find an immediate solution, in collaboration with a special logistics unit.

Within 48 hours, we designed, built, and installed a portable hot shower system atop a military truck. The first of these systems has already entered the strip and the troops began using it immediately. 

With this new system, between 150- to 200 hot showers can be taken.

Currently, we have produced 4 systems for use amongst infantry forces: Golani and Tanks units 401, 188, and 7.

 Specs:

Water tank capacity of 4000 liters (approximately 1060 gallons)

The total cost for each system is: 30,000 NIS

In the coming days, We are building 10 more systems and maintaining the existing systems in the field for units that have raised the need as a result of the prolonged fighting.
