For more than 45 years, Beit Issie Shapiro has helped children and adults with disabilities and their families build the skills, confidence and support they need to live fuller, more independent lives, impacting more than 500,000 people each year in Israel and around the world.
That resilience starts from the very beginning.
When a baby is born with a disability, families can suddenly find themselves facing questions and challenges they never expected; they are overwhelmed by the caregiving, treatments, financial strain, emotional stress and the toll these challenges place on family dynamics. Since October 7th, these enormous challenges have intensified as children with disabilities are born into families who are already strained by the extended war.
At Beit Issie Shapiro’s Early Intervention Center, children ages 6 months to 3 years receive life-changing therapies, individualized care and innovative support during some of the most important years of development. At the same time, parents receive the guidance and tools they need to support their child and move forward as a family.
Beit Issie Shapiro’s pioneering approach has become a model in Israel and internationally. Each year, thousands of professionals are trained in our methods, extending the impact far beyond the children and families we serve directly.
Your support helps give families a stronger start and enables Beit Issie Shapiro to continue developing practical, innovative solutions that build resilience for families and for Israel.
