Please help us fund this wonderful workshop to suport the displaced children after the october 7th atrocities

"\sweet day"is a chocolate workshop that lasts over nearly two hours, in which children get to know a wonderful fruit, the chocolate fruit: cacao. They see, touch, smell, and taste the products from it, creating the most delicious chocolate in the world: self-made chocolate. Once they have their confections, they create a self-decorated box to take their beautiful and delicious chocolates with them.

To finish, the children receive, with great excitement, a beautiful little surprise: a chocolate house. They decorate the house and take it with them in the hope that soon they will have a sweet and real home to return to.

The funds are used to finance the equipment and materials needed for the activity. Volunteers reach the evacuees with everything that is needed to complete the project. During the 2 first weeks, we already meted displaced children from age 4 to  18.

. For maximum suitability for all children, only kosher-pareve materials without allergens are used.

The funding is intended for 2 purposes: 1-covering the expenses of organizing to hold the sessions 2-funding the materials required to hold each workshop.

The guiding principle:

A guide comes to the evacuees with everything needed to hold the workshop except: chairs, tables, refrigerator and electricity.

1-Organization for holding the sessions.

I stopped holding sessions for children and youth 14 years ago, I gave all the equipment I had to people I knew who were involved in it, what remains with me are only memories, ideas, experience and knowledge. To start operating it was necessary to purchase everything:

A partial list of the basic fixed equipment: electric cooking stove, flat pots (fish pot), pans, extention cable and splitter, kettle, large and smaller pots (for heating in a bain marie), coolers, large baskets for equipment, serving trays.

And the most expensive: making molds for chocolate: 1-hearts, 2-flowers, 3-houses. After checking the variety of silicone molds available in Israel, the conclusion was that there are no molds exactly as needed for the activity, so I turned to a manufacturer I knew: Vaco Pack, who with a lot of good will and patience produced the molds for us exactly as we needed them.

Partial list of consumables: chocolate, white chocolate, substitute for cocoa butter, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, food coloring for chocolate, Rice Krispies, colored candies for decoration, disposable cups and spoons, base plates for the home, colored royal icing.

2- Original cost of consumables for each workshop, as of today: 450 NIS not including arrival at the location, which we ask the organizers who are sometimes volunteers and sometimes organizations or associations, to help us with this but it is not always possible.

The initial purchase of all fixed equipment including the molds and consumables for about 25 workshops cost NIS 18,000 and was financed by me in order to start operating without delays. Unfortunately, I am unable to donate such an amount.

I started conducting "Sweet Day" workshops for evacuee children, on December 6, 2023. To date, I have managed to be in many places (listed) and have been privileged to make many children, adults and families of evacuees happy. In most places I conducted one workshop, in some more, such as at the summer camp at Cinema City Gillot, where I conducted 3 workshops in one day, or at Sde Eliezer, where I held a workshop in each of the two kindergartens. The funding for the workshops and their trips was received from the previous funding campaign and a donation from K.K.L.

To date, for my time, I have taken nothing: this is my contribution.

In addition to the list of places where I held workshops, I made a list of times required to prepare and deliver the workshops. The times are an average of many workshops and vary according to the number of participants in each activity. The principle that guides me: as many participants as possible in each workshop.

The money that will be collected in the current campaign is intended to finance more workshops for the evacuees (who unfortunately have no idea when they will return home) and also to pay me for the time I invest...

**All materials are kosher fur and the equipment has been immersed in the mikvah**
