An IDF commando unit currently being deployed has requested 80 vests to support direct action. They need 80 ceramic safety vests and 80 tactical helmets at a total cost of approximately 350,000 NIS ($75,000). Each vest cost about 850$, each helmet cost about 250$. We are working to get these to them immediately.
The ruthless and brazen attack by Hamas has left us all feeling shocked and helpless as we watched Israeli soldiers as well as civilian men, women and even children killed, taken hostage or abducted into Gaza.
Israel has called up tens of thousands of reservists who are right now mobilizing to defend Israel and her citizens. However, as many of the soldiers have arrived at their bases it’s become clear that they’re missing or low in supply on the equipment they so desperately need. We’re hoping to change this.
We’re asking for your help to provide direct support for units deployed in the field. We’re a group of volunteers working to procure and deliver basic equipment to reservists, who are lacking what they need to be effective in the war.
Every shekel/dollar donated, or piece of equipment provided, will go directly toward this effort and can mean the difference between a soldier having or missing what they need to defend Israel.
The list of equipment is growing and evolving, but here are things we’re in the process of getting:
- Helmets
- Combat vests
- Flashlights
- Radios and communication equipment
- Food
