The Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council was one of the hardest-hit municipalities in Hamas’ attack on Israel. Many of our communities are directly adjacent to the border fence with Gaza, and suffered the full brunt of the attack. Many were killed, abducted, and made to endure unspeakable acts – including the head of our Council, Ofir Libstein of blessed memory, who was killed in an exchange of fire with the terrorists in Kfar Aza. Still many more have lost their homes and property.

This funding campaign is our means of asking the international community for help. 

While the invasion has been pushed back, the event is far from over for the citizens of Sha’ar HaNegev. We are still reeling, regrouping, and treating the injured. We still need emergency supplies, equipment, and the means to provide emotional and financial support to those who have lost everything.

We need your support – not just for financial reasons, though finances are critical, but also so that our people will know that the world stands with us, and has not abandoned us in our time of need.
