We, the parents of Sergeant Roey Weiser Hy”d, created this campaign to raise money in his memory. Roey, at the young age of 21, gave his life to save others and protect his country. All donations will be used to assist IDF soldiers from underprivileged backgrounds ensuring their basic needs are met while they defend the State of Israel and its people.

Staff Sergeant Roey Weiser Hy”d, a hero who bravely sacrificed his life at the age of 21 in the battle against Hamas terrorists on the tragic morning of the 7th of October 2023, was not only a courageous soldier but also a compassionate friend and mentor. Roey, who was a dual Israeli and American citizen, had a constant smile, a sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his comrades, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, which made him beloved by all who knew him.

According to official statistics, approximately 15% of the 150,000 conscripted soldiers come from families of a low socio-economic background who cannot afford basic necessities and need assistance paying for their most basic needs such as food, clothing, electricity, and running water.

Roey's acts of kindness went beyond the call of duty. He ensured no one went without, always willing to share what he had and lift the spirits of those around him. Roey's legacy is not just one of commitment to his military service but of selflessness and caring for others. Roey’s act of exceptional heroism as he saved 12 of his fellow soldiers, is an example of his bravery, spirit, resolve, and selfless caring for others.

To honor Roey's memory, we, his parents, are launching a campaign to continue his legacy of exceptional compassion, but on a larger scale. We aim to support IDF soldiers from underprivileged backgrounds who struggle. Working closely with the army's social services and other relevant official institutions, we will identify those in greatest need and ensure they have their basic requirements met.

Your generous donations will allow us to carry forward Roey's spirit of caring for his fellow soldiers, not just as those who ensure Israel’s security, but as individuals. By providing these essentials, we will help our dedicated soldiers focus on their critical mission of defending Israel, all in the memory of Staff Sergeant Roey Weiser.

Additionally, as part of our fundraising efforts, we are committed to extending our support beyond the immediate cause. We will also be raising funds for other initiatives aimed at remembering Roey. These initiatives may include memorial events, scholarships, or projects that honor Roey's legacy and contribute to the well-being of others in meaningful ways.

Your generous donations will not only support underprivileged IDF soldiers but also play a crucial role in preserving Roey Weiser's memory and values for years to come. Together, let's make a lasting impact, spreading compassion and gratitude in honor of Roey's bravery and heroism. Join us in ensuring that those who protect us are supported and cared for. Please donate generously to our campaign and continue the legacy of compassion in honor of Roey's selfless spirit.
