Staff Sergeant Roey Weiser Hy”d, a hero who bravely gave his life on the tragic morning of October 7, 2023, was more than a courageous soldier. At just 21 years old, Roey was a compassionate soul, a constant source of humor and support for those around him. As a dual Israeli and American citizen, his dedication to his comrades—especially those from underprivileged backgrounds—made him beloved by all who knew him.

In Israel, approximately 15% of soldiers come from low socio-economic backgrounds and struggle to afford basic necessities like food, clothing, and electricity. Roey's acts of kindness went beyond the call of duty. He ensured no one went without, always willing to share what he had and lift the spirits of those around him. His act of exceptional heroism—saving 12 of his fellow soldiers—is a testament to his bravery and selfless spirit.

Our Vision: The Roey Weiser Lone Soldiers Center – Efrat

To continue Roey’s legacy of compassion, we are establishing a home for those who have no family support in Israel. Today, thousands of lone soldiers face:

• Housing and financial instability.

• Emotional strain without local safety nets.

• The challenge of serving without a home to return to on Shabbat.

The center will ensure that these brave individuals are never alone. By providing a dedicated space in Efrat for housing, Shabbat meals, and emotional support, we are transforming a community into a family.

• The Roey Weiser Lone Soldier Center: Providing a warm home, Shabbat and holiday support, and emergency financial aid.

• Direct support for soldiers: Partnering with the Army's social services to provide food and basic necessities.

• Memorial projects: Including the Mitzpe (memorial viewpoint) built by the youth of his community.
