"Tarbut during Crisis" is our emergency response to the aftermath of the deadly attackd by Hamas and to aid the war efforts. In order to strengthen the home and front lines of Israel, Tarbut is providing creative emotional support programs to aid survivors and others affected by the attack and current crisis. Through this platform, Tarbut collects and evaluates inbound requests for assistance and matches those in need with hundreds of artists, therapists, educators, instructors and mental health providers who register on the Tarbut in Crisis platform. Responses to the emergency situation over the past month: Art therapists' expeditions to evacuee centers in Eilat, the Dead Sea, and other locations where communities from the Gaza Envelope were sent after the destruction of their towns and kibbutzim. These are providing emotional and therapeutic first aid to the trauma they endured. Running temporary day care frameworks for children of essential workers and medical staff. Hospitals, welfare and other essential workers have been running around the clock, many of them evacuees themselves or live in towns where the school system hasn’t been activated. We have been providing full day care solutions for over 800 kids and youth every day. Bringing musicians to the front lines: We've organized over 200 music events for soldiers and reserve duty units. Caring for the older adults in the combat zones: Caring for 5,000 senior citizens who are unable to leave their homes, providing them with essentials, assisting in renovating bomb shelters, and providing ongoing emotional support. Providing seniors who are in evacuee centers with cultural and artistic relief activities.
