Access Israel has initiated the "Purple Vest" project since the outbreak of the October 7, 2023 war The current situation in Israel is unbearably difficult and complicated for everyone, and even more so for people with dissabilities and the elderly. Not being able to reach a sheltered area in time, lack of accessible shelters, complex medical conditions and more - all put them in grave danger! Help us make sure that no one gets left behind! Access Israel initiated project Purple Vest and is acting in this difficult time to locate, rescue and evacuate people with dissabilities and the elderly from disaster and war zones to safe accessible places. Access Israel initiated and operates a special situation war center which receives requests for evacuation and calls from families wishing to host those in need, as well as arranging hotel stays. Access Israel also provides free training to the teams to give tools for accessible rescue,and created a web portal which provides assistive emergency information to people with all types of dissabilities, and more...
