PROJECT BASKETBALL - ESHKOL TEAM | May 15 - 24
On May 15th, New York will welcome the Eshkol basketball team.
The teens on the Eshkol Regional Council's basketball team come from the Kibbutzim most severely affected by the October 7th attack: Be'eri, Nir Oz, Kissufim, Nirim, Ein Hashlosha and more.
One of the group’s beloved coaches was murdered that morning, and three team players were kidnapped to Gaza and released in early January.
All the players of the team suffered heavy losses of family members and close friends.
Project ״Basketball” will unite, heal and get these teens back on the court.
We’re organizing a basketball camp in Port Washington, NY and NYC.
the group will practice basketball, participate in games, meet local Jewish basketball groups, connect with local Jewish families that will host them, explore NYC spots, and more.
Hundreds of Jews from the area will be involved by coordinating events, hosting the teens, initiating community events...
What we need is to reduce and share cost with as many organizations and people in the area.
The total trip cost comes out to $85,000
Our most substantial expenses are:
- The cost of flights that will transport the kids to and from the US, totaling $50,000.
- And a dream come true to the team - NBA tickets to the Knicks totaling $20,000
Additional expenses relate to city excursions and overhead costs essential for the trip.
We are sharing our efforts and we want to share the cost too.
