Donation to Kibbutz Magen:

Saturday, October 7, was the kibbutz's blackest day since its foundation in 1949. While Hamas was firing rockets at us, a convoy of vans and motorcycles, carrying several dozen terrorists, marched towards the kibbutz fence, breached it, and stormed inside.
The standby platoon (volunteer members of the kibbutz) halted the attack with supreme bravery and waited for the help of the IDF soldiers. It took the army almost nine hours to arrive and assist our standby unit, volunteer citizens who saved the kibbutz from a mass slaughter. Our ammunition supply was almost exhausted.
The immediate results were severe:
- Avi Fleischer was killed.
- Baruch Cohen, who is responsible for the security of the kibbutzim in the region, was critically wounded. He was flown by helicopter to Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, where his leg was amputated.
- Nadav Roth was seriously injured in his shoulder. He was rushed by ambulance to Be'er Sheva, where he was treated and then transferred to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.
- Ofir Yaron was kidnapped.
Meanwhile, the rockets landed in the heart of the kibbutz, where there was no Iron Dome to protect us or our community. The damage is extensive, with direct hits to houses and infrastructure.
The army evacuated all the members of the kibbutz to the Dead Sea. Now, only 17 Magen members are left to guard the kibbutz and take care of 200 elite unit soldiers, including their food, showers, and laundry.
We need your help to financially support these brave IDF soldiers who are defending our community. Every donation will help us do this.
On behalf of the kibbutz, I would like to convey our extreme gratitude to you all. We could not be more grateful for your support and love.
