Reuniting Families: PTROA's Urgent Pet Rescue Campaign

In the aftermath of the October 7th events in the Gaza Envelope, the lives of countless pets and their families were upended. Tens of thousands of evacuees, forced to flee their homes, left behind beloved dogs and cats who are now bewildered, hungry, and alone. Many of these pets vanished without a trace - either they ran away or were taken hostage in Gaza.

PTROA, which specializes in locating animals in crisis situations using intelligence solutions, has been inundated with calls from distraught pet owners and families affected, desperately seeking assistance in finding their families’ missing pets.

Our Mission: Find Every Missing Animal, Living or Deceased

Since October 7th, we've been committed to locating every missing pet—living or deceased. This is our humble contribution to those who have endured immense loss and to the animals left orphaned or abandoned.

With our established connections in the Gaza Strip, we also strive to reunite the hostage animals with their families in Israel.

A Plea for Support: Help Us Bring Them Home

To achieve our mission, we urgently need your support. Your contribution will enable us to expand our efforts, utilizing advanced tools like smart field cameras operating 24/7 and drones.

With your generous support, we can make a significant impact that goes beyond conventional efforts, including:

  • Staffing a team around the clock, to ensure constant vigilance
  • By activating an Osint/Umint team, specialized in gathering information from human and network sources
  • Employing advanced technological resources—both ground and aerial—we enhance our detection capabilities exponentially

These dedicated means enable us to achieve remarkably high success rates in locating the missing, to bring hope and reunite families, making a lasting difference in the lives of those in need.

Join us in this vital cause and be a beacon of hope for those awaiting a reunion. Together, we can bring solace to families and ensure the safe return of these cherished pets.

Amit was kidnapped to Gaza

Amit lives with her three cats, quietly and peacefully in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. On Saturday, the seventh of October, armed terrorists arrived in Kfar Aza and started shooting everywhere. Amit, who was alone at home, wrote to her family members that she was going to hide in a closet in the basement of her home. Since then, contact with her was cut off. Amit was kidnapped to Gaza and her three cats disappeared. Amit's family wants us to find her cats, so that when she returns from captivity, she can be reunited with them.

Iker disappeared on October 7th without a trace

Vared from Kibbutz Kissufim writes about her Iker: "Our 10 year old dog Iker is our oldest child. From the day we adopted him we never left him for a moment. He slept with us every night, curled up at our feet. Every year we celebrated his birthday with the whole family. Iker raised Harel and Shi-Lee together with us. He went through amazing experiences and difficult moments with us. He was traumatised on October 7th and since then all traces of him have been lost. Our hearts are wounded but we haven't given up hope. Please help us find him."

Luna was kidnapped to Gaza

Luna was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, by Hamas terrorists. On the day of the massacre, Luna's owners rushed into the safe room and locked the door behind them. Luna didn't have time to go in after them and was waiting for them outside the door. The terrorists decided to take Luna with them to Gaza and taunt her owner with a picture of her on the day of the kidnapping, but he deleted the video and went underground. Since then, all traces of Luna have disappeared. Her family, which is in heavy mourning, wants to see any sign of life from her.

Every animal is whole and deserves to return home to its family.

The PTROA organization (ID: 580507481) has been working in the field of animal rights since 2009. The organization regularly works on the intelligence level to expose infrastructures in the field of animal cruelty law, such as: dog fighting, animal trafficking, abuses, and more. During this period, the organization sees great importance in assisting the residents of the surrounding area in returning missing animals to their families or to their owners' relatives, some of whom were kidnapped and some of whom were murdered.
