who witnessed the challenges of Operation "Tzuk Eitan" with her eldest son.
I stand before you as a person committed to making a difference in the lives of our children and the families who suffer from the cruel reality in which we find ourselves.
As an educational entrepreneur,
even in the Corona days when the children of Israel were confined to their homes,
I joined the national effort with a vision—a vision that led to the creation of "Pele-academy".
A virtual platform dedicated to empowering
first-grade children with the cultivation
of essential reading and language skills through fascinating video courses and home activities.
In the midst of chaos, as a private individual,
I strive to be present in the moment so that the children
can navigate these days without losing their future.
As hostilities broke out, the "Pele-academy" platform,
along with all its courses, opened for free for all Israeli children of the relevant ages.
Since we made the platform free for everyone,
we have noticed a sharp increase in admissions,
especially from children in the north and south left without educational frameworks.
My mission is clear: to prevent the accumulation of gaps in reading, writing, and speaking.
However, I find myself at a crossroads.
On the one hand, as an educator,
I cannot ignore the fact that a chasm has opened for hundreds of young children who started their first steps in schools only about three months ago.
I can't afford not to think about the consequences that the current reality will bring to the future generation.
On the other hand,
the financial pressure created by maintaining the platform without revenue cannot be denied. I am committed to myself and the children, but I need your support.

Allow me to provide insight: data and research after the Corona period,
with consequences similar to what the children of Israel are going through now,
reflect the huge gaps that have accumulated and testify
to the long-term damages caused, especially to preschool and first-grade children.
For example, the results of the PIRLS test in 2022 conducted among
Israeli children who studied in grades 1-2 during the Corona period
show a 20-point drop in reading ability when comparing to OECD countries.
Only Turkey and the French part of Belgium fare worse!
