Following the infiltration into Israel by an unknown number of terrorist operatives, small towns, kibbutzim and villages across the country have been forced to step up their security operations in order to protect their civilian communities. In an atmosphere where many community members who would usually assist with security have been called to the army as reserves, they are turning to security drones as an efficient and scalable way to boost security, offering protection, and peace of mind to thousands of vulnerable and traumatized civilians. These unmanned aerial vehicles are fitted with thermal cameras or sensors that can detect human infiltrators and can be used to monitor and track potential threats. Each device costs around $10,000, and a large number are needed to help secure smaller municipalities
