About the Project

I made aliyah six years ago with my wife and two children. I am a private chef who has worked for celebrities and I also run a gourmet catering business in Israel specializing in smoked meats and charcuterie.

Due to the tragedy that has hit us, I have switched my focus to making shelf-stable foods (MRE’s) for our IDF soldiers who are our kids, spouses, parents, brothers, and sisters on the front fighting to defeat our enemy so we can exist. I am also providing home-cooked hot meals for families displaced by this war. I am raising money to offset the overhead costs so that I can continue serving them the high-protein and nutritious meals that they wouldn’t receive otherwise.

About Leket Israel

In normal times, Leket Israel rescues 70,000,000 lbs. of fresh, surplus produce and cooked meat meals (that would otherwise be needlessly wasted) for redistribution to 234,000 Israelis in need each week, including Holocaust survivors, families living below the poverty line, struggling immigrants, at-risk youth, and other vulnerable populations.
