With the signing of a ceasefire and hostage deal, we must harness this positive momentum and keep moving forward towards an end to the occupation and a true peace agreement. Join our urgent call for action from anywhere in the world and participate in an online Gaga class with Ohad Naharin to raise funds for Standing Together. All proceeds will help the largest grassroots movement of Palestinian and Jewish citizens of Israel in their vital work against the war and occupation towards peace, equality, and justice.

This online Gaga class will take place on Saturday, October 25th at 5pm Jerusalem / 10am NYC. The class will be taught in English, will last 45 minutes and is open to all age 16+, regardless of previous experience.

“The struggle for peace and for a fair society cannot be separated. Fostering reconciliation goes hand in hand with fighting poverty, racism, and inequality. We show that another future is possible for both Palestinians and Israelis, one built on mutual respect. In the face of so much suffering in our region, your donation is a choice for reconciliation and a future of dignity and peace for all.” – Ohad Naharin

Can’t join us live? A recording will be sent and will remain available for ~24 hours after the event, so you can dance with us from anywhere on your own time.

About Standing Together

Standing Together is a grassroots movement organizing Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel against the war and the occupation and for peace, equality, and social and climate justice. We know that the majority of the people in Israel have far more in common than that which sets us apart and only a tiny minority benefits from the current status quo. The future that we want —  grounded on peace, security and independence for Israelis and Palestinians, full equality for everyone in this land, and true social, economic, and environmental justice — is possible. To achieve this future, we must stand together as a united front: Jewish and Palestinian, secular and religious, Mizrahi and Ashkenazi, rural and urban, and people of all genders and sexual orientations. As the largest Jewish-Arab grassroots movement in Israel, we are committed to creating an alternative to our existing reality and building the political strength to make this transformation possible.

At this critical moment, Standing Together is focused on mobilizing the public to maintain pressure for a continuation of the ceasefire deal as well as campaigning for Israeli-Palestinian peace as the only solution that will bring safety, independence, and equality to everyone in Israel-Palestine. To this end, the movement organizes mass rallies and protests, organizes people on the grassroots level on campuses and around the country, and uses social and traditional media to spread the message to millions. In the past year, Standing Together has also mobilized its Humanitarian Guard to safeguard aid trucks meant for Gaza and to protect Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank from extremist settler attacks. Standing Together has also  fought on multiple fronts to oppose the starvation campaign in Gaza — leading protests as well as pressuring the Israeli media to report on the hunger crisis and shift public opinion.

About Gaga

Gaga is the movement language developed by Ohad Naharin throughout many years, parallel to his work as a choreographer. Gaga classes offer a framework for users to connect to their bodies and imaginations, experience physical sensations, improve their flexibility and stamina, exercise their agility and explosive power, and enjoy the pleasure of movement in a welcoming, accepting atmosphere.

Ohad Naharin is a longstanding opponent of the occupation, an outspoken critic of the Israeli government, and a supporter of humanitarian causes and peacebuilding. For years, he held mass Gaga classes at Hangar 11 and the Suzanne Dellal Centre to raise funds and awareness for the Association for Civil Rights in Israel.
