April 2024 Update: Thank you to everyone who has donated through this campaign! We will be continuing the campaign and raising funds to rescue and deliver fresh food for vulnerable Israelis this Passover, to fulfill the mitzvah of Ma'ot Chittin.
-------------
In the spirit of Matanot L'evyonim, Glen Rock Jewish Center will be helping Leket Israel provide fresh, nutritious food to Israelis in need. GRJC's goal is to raise $3,600 to rescue and deliver over 17,000 lbs. of excess fruit and vegetables to Israeli families, kids at risk, evacuees and more. This Purim, your support is needed now more than ever.
All contributions will provide fresh, rescued food delivered to those in need on Purim day and Shushan Purim in order to fulfill the mitzvah of Matanot L’evyonim.
About Leket Israel
Leket Israel, Israel’s National Food Bank, rescues over 73 million lbs. of surplus, high-quality food annually, that otherwise would go to waste, from hundreds of farms, hotels, corporate caterers and IDF army bases. The food is distributed weekly to over 296 non-profits feeding 330,000 Israelis of all backgrounds.
