We are all aware of the potential for the war in Gaza to escalate and impact communities beyond its immediate borders, including 34 communities in the Golan Heights - 10 situated on the border and many others isolated - who are already being targeted by terrorist organizations and hostile forces. Regrettably, past experiences have taught us that weakness and unpreparedness are not options. As the Community Emergency Response Teams (כיתות כוננות) in these areas, we serve as the first line of defense, ensuring the safety of all residents until the arrival of the IDF and security forces. We stand on the front lines!
Our teams are currently stretched thin, with key members called up to serve in the Gaza and Lebanon theatres. While we actively address this manpower shortage, we urgently require vital equipment to execute our duties with maximum efficiency.
This campaign will provide essential life-saving equipment, bolstering the protection of our communities. While we collaborate closely with the IDF and local council, some crucial items cannot be obtained through these channels at present. Immediate action is being taken to obtain these items, including advanced protective and tactical equipment, communication devices, lighting, first-aid and medical kits, emergency generators, and proper winter clothing enabling us to defend the Golan Heights communities in the upcoming winter conditions.
We are working with the Golan Regional Council to help ensure requests and needs are gathered efficiently and effectively.
