P24 Hapoel Eshkol Junior Basketball Team -

On October 7th, the Kibbutzim in the Eshkol region of Southern Israel were devastated, forcing families to evacuate and find temporary housing across the country. This crisis has deeply affected the community, especially the children who once enjoyed the freedom of play and camaraderie with their friends and neighbors.

The Jr League team, Hapoel Eshkol, is made up of teens from this region. Displaced from their homes, these young athletes have faced immense challenges in finding opportunities to practice and come together as a team. Team sports are vital for building self-esteem, supporting mental health, and developing social skills—essentially, they become a second family during difficult times.

Our Mission: We aim to bring Hapoel Eshkol to Los Angeles for a week of practice, games, and connection with our vibrant Jewish community. This trip will provide them with the chance to bond, regain their sense of normalcy, and experience the support of a broader community.

Hundreds of Jews from the area will be involved by coordinating events, hosting the teens, initiating community events...

What we need is to reduce and share cost with as many organizations and people in the area. 

The total trip cost comes out to $56,000

Our most substantial expenses are the cost of flights that will transport the kids to and from the US. 

Additional expenses relate to city excursions and overhead costs essential for the trip.

We are sharing our efforts and we want to share the cost too.
