Following the brutal attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 and the war that broke out in its wake, thousands of children, adults and youth were displaced from their homes and scattered in temporary housing solutions all over the country. 20% of them have special needs. Many of them are in distress and trauma, and they still have a long way to go until they can return home.
'Equinote' is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting healing through cultural activities tailored for individuals with special needs. With the onset of the war, we took the initiative to voluntarily specialized activities catering to children and individuals with and without special needs, and the advancement of virtual therapy spaces.
Especially at this moment when the wounds are still fresh, it becomes crucial to provide children and adults with resources to alleviate stress and anxiety, enhance inner resilience, and mitigate trauma before it solidifies and intensifies.
Your contribution to 'Equinote' will allow us to continue providing the victims of the disaster with:
● Respite and morale-boosting shows across the country - a combination of music, movement, drama and sessions adapted to audiences with special needs
● Healing sounds and trauma release workshops accompanied by emotional therapy
● Accessible musical instruments for children and adults with severe disabilities
Your support is making a real difference and will help strengthen the resilience of the evacuees and of Israeli society as a whole.
