Thank you for visiting my Bat Mitzvah page for Leket Israel. In lieu of gifts, please make a donation to this important cause. Leket is a non-profit organization that provides food for malnourished populations across Israel. It feeds 225,000 people in need weekly and is the largest food bank in Israel.
Leket is unique because it rescues and redistributes surplus food that would otherwise be discarded. Leket salvages 68 million pounds of food annually in this way and delivers it to people suffering from food insecurity, including: Holocaust survivors, families below the poverty line, struggling immigrants, at-risk youth, and other vulnerable populations.
All donations in honor of my Bat Mitzvah will go to the rescue and distribution of fresh, nutritious food to those in need throughout Israel. Thank you for your support!
