Kibbutz Ein Shemer was established in 1927 and has played a pivotal role in supporting the establishment of the state of Israel as part of the Kibbutzim movement. Our community is based on the route of Wadi-Ara,  just several minutes drive from the border. In response to recent terror attacks on Israel, we are deeply committed to enhancing the security of our community. Your support is crucial in achieving this goal.
We want to present an updated breakdown of the financial needs of our security enhancement project, with a total fundraising goal of 470,000 ILS.

Here is a reorganized overview of how these funds will be allocated to strengthen our security infrastructure:

1) New Bomb Shelters (260,000 ILS/ $67,000):

Ensuring the safety of our children and kindergarteners on campus is paramount. The installation of new bomb shelters remains a cornerstone of our security plan. These shelters will provide a secure and protected environment during emergencies, allowing our children to continue their education during war.

2) New Cameras and Night Vision Surveillance System (90,000 ILS/ $23,000): 

A night vision surveillance system is crucial. This substantial allocation will significantly enhance our ability to monitor and respond to security threats in real-time, preventing perimeter penetrations.

3) Advanced Communication Tools (40,000 ILS/ $10,000):

Effective communication is essential for our on-alert response teams. This allocation will equip them with communication tools used in emergencies and peaceful times while ensuring a coordinated and rapid response to any crisis.

4) Reinforced Fencing and Perimeter Lighting (40,000 ILS/ $10,000):

Upgrading our fencing and perimeter lighting is critical to our security efforts. This allocation will significantly enhance security by providing better visibility during the night, deterring potential threats, preventing unauthorized access, and further bolstering our overall security measures.

5) Essential Medical and Firefighting Equipment (15,000 ILS/ $4,000):

In an emergency, readily available medical and firefighting equipment can save lives.

6) Upgraded Guarding Posts (25,000 ILS/ $6,500):

Our daily alert guarding posts need to be fortified, renewed, and re-established in some places. These funds will be used for upgraded posts, providing a solid foundation for our security infrastructure and enhancing its durability.
