Soldiers in tanks and the armored corps face many risks in battle. You might be surprised to learn that one of these is a risk of burning. When a tank is breached by a projectile, the projectile can break into shrapnel which is flaming hot. This shrapnel can set the inside of the tank on fire or burn soldiers that it lands on. A life saving solution for this problem is flame retardant uniforms. Unfortunately, the army doesn't have enough of these for all the soldiers that need them. For those that don't have, the army supplies them with flame retardant overalls to wear over their uniforms. Besides being bulky and hot, they don't allow for easy access to all their gear. Ilene and I have decided to partner with Israel Gives to raise the funds necessary to get as many soldiers as possible this life saving equipment. This is a challenging time not only for the people of Israel, but for Jews all over the world. The only way for us to defeat the evil that was perpetrated on that black Shabbat/Simchat Torah of October 7th is to come together. Thank you for your help. Am Yisrael Chai! We are currently aware of 94 soldiers specifically that need these uniforms. Each set costs 650 NIS or $180. This is what they look like.
