Dear friends,
In these trying times, Be'er Milka along with all communities in Israel, woke up to a new reality on October 7th. After reassessing our security needs, the Moshav is now conscious of the upgrades necessary in order to keep our families safe. In order to reach these goals your help is vital in ensuring the wellbeing of the community.
Moshav Be'er Milka, is situated in Pit'hat Nitzana, a secluded settlement region within the Ramat HaNegev Regional Council in southern Israel, near the Egyptian border and 35 km from the Gaza Strip. The region is comprised of five settlements (Kadesh Barnea, Beer Milka, Cmehin, Nitzana, Ezuz) primarily focused on agriculture that significantly contributes to the Israeli produce, with 280 families and around 2,000 foreign workers engaged in agriculture. Be'er Milka itself is a working agricultural cooperative community of 50 families making their living in a wide variety of fields such as agriculture, tourism, art, teaching, therapy and other liberal professions.

Although security issues are not new to the area, in light of our renew reality, a rapid-response squad has been assembled by members of the moshav as a first line of defense. After reassessing our security needs, the team is in need of tactical gear to complete their readiness. The immediate security needs are:
- AERO SOL's 2G and 3G drones.
- 2G - a smaller model with thermal detection ability and an operational range of up to 5 km.
- 3G - a bigger model with thermal detection as well as a longer operational range and the ability to carry equipment to forces in the field.
In addition, the Be'er Milka dairy farm cooperative was established in 2012 which belongs to all the families in the moshav. On top of all the heartache of October 7th, our beloved friend, father and founding manager of the dairy farm, Captain (res.) Iftah Gorny Z"L was murdered by hamas terrorists while defending Israel and its citizens with his life. His family, the community and dairy farm have been left with a hole in our hearts that will always remain unfilled. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your open hearts and great genorisity. We will get through this Together.
Moshav Be'er Milka
