In 2023, AFL football in Israel reaches new heights with several significant events.

AFL Israel hosted its inaugural international Aussie rules tournament in Be\'er Sheva, celebrating the city\'s ANZAC heritage. The tournament featured 30 Australian players and marked the first time the sport was played in Hebrew, in front of an enthusiastic Israeli crowd. Continuing their momentum, AFL Israel is now preparing for the Eurocup in Kiel, Germany, aiming to improve upon their previous 8th place finish and establish themselves as a dominant force in European Australian rules football.

The sport has seen substantial growth in Israel, with a thriving community of players participating in regular training sessions and games. However, as AFL in Israel lacks institutional support, the success of the sport relies heavily on the dedication of volunteers, as well as the generosity of sponsors and donors.

To ensure the Israeli delegation\'s participation in the European Championship, fundraising efforts are underway to cover a portion of the costs. The goal is to raise 30,000 NIS, and every donation, regardless of size, contributes to the dream of representing Israel with honor and pride on the European stage of Australian rules football.
