Our Goal: 10,000 $ for a new treatment rooms that will annually serve 40 children and adolescents with CP with severe physical disabilities.
One of Tsad Kadima's leading rehabilitative educational centers is located in Rishon Letzion and includes two separate areas of activity, with an early childhood center with day caeand kindergartens for children between 0-6 with CP and developmental delay, and an elementary and junior high school for children and adolescents with CP and complex physical disabilities.
As of today, Tsad Kadima's Rishon Letzion School suffers from lack of space and rooms to be able to adequately provide for its students growing needs with regard to paramedical treatments. For this purpose, we decided to add treatment rooms by establishing a portable structure that includes three rooms and can be placed in a vacant area next to the school (inside its perimeter). The structure will be connected to the schools infrastructure and include three separate rooms that will be used as an occupational therapy and/or physiotherapy room, a speech therapy room
and a room for parental counseling and guidance with the school's social worker and relevant professional teams.
The new treatment rooms, will annually serve at least 40 children and adolescents with CP and severe physical disabilities. The number of children to be served by this project will grow together with the natural growth of the school (the special education law in Israel is up to age 21).
The project will enable Tsad Kadima to enlarge the number of treatments it provides to the children at the school as well as parental counseling and guidance sessions throughout the school hours (between 8:00AM to 4PM). The increase in paramedical treatments, in addition to the rehabilitative work that is currently accomplished will tremendously improve the children's functionality in various aspects (physical, speech, etc.) and their functional independence.
Thank you
