The Snir organization, is a non- profit organization founded in 2010 that works toward creating equal opportunities for underprivileged children, focusing on education and culture.
Our founders, mostly businessmen and real-estate entrepreneurs between ages 30-40, share a mutual motive: contribution to community in addition to business activity.
There are thousands of children in Israel who due to the dire environmental and economic situation into which they were born, have great difficulty in fulfilling their personal potential.
Our goal is to put everyone on an equal playing field by giving our children an equal opportunity necessary for self-fulfillment and leverage. We reach our goals through vital personal, and educational support.
From the very beginning, Snir has been locating needy children, in order to promote, encourage and nurture them. The children are then given an enriching and supportive framework assisting them in accomplishing personal excellence and empowerment, from the time they start elementary school till the completion of high-school.
Snir 360: a holistic vision for success
Through Snir 360, a unique and holistic program, we work on a variety of projects and in full educational collaboration with the educational system.
The program was founded in order to fully utilize the environment for the success of the children and the creation of role models. These role models set an example for the children providing them with sympathetic ear, helping boost their accomplishments and success.
The "Snir 360" 5 Elements:
• Academic Strengthening
Comprehensive educational assistance in "core" subjects. The children receive extra lessons in small groups both in and after school hours. The children also get private tuition in English and math, to reduce the educational gap and bring about academic excellence.
• Empowerment and Personal Accompaniment
We believe in encouraging the feeling of self-efficacy and self-worth, are the key to the children's present and future success. This results directly from the personal accompaniment the children receive from both the girls doing National Service, and the educational counselors.
• Career Development
We believe that to break the glass ceiling and allow the children to dare dream, they should meet with significant role models who share with their personal stories with the children showing them that there is a way out ,guiding them to an alternative future vision.
• Connection to the Community
In Snir we believe that giving is empowering and the only way of empowering our children is by showing them how much strength is concealed within them and this is done by volunteering in the community. The children are exposed to groups of people different to themselves, and this serves as an important lesson in accepting others.
• Family Strengthening Program
The family strengthening program includes accompanying and coaching both the children and the family in various aspects of family life in order to provide a supportive nurturing environment.
The holistic Snir 360 vision is the basis for our educational model and is the guideline of our every project and activity, guiding us, defining us, creating a common language for the entire system surrounding the child making optimal personal fulfillment possible.
Snir organization holds confirmation of proper management on behalf of registrar of associations and by that allows it's donors to donate generously and receive tax credit according to section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance.
