In Memory of Gadi – A Fundraising Campaign for His Legacy
On September 8, 2025, Sergeant Gadi Cotal fell in battle in Gaza. He was just 20 years old—a tank fighter from Kibbutz Afikim, a young man full of spirit, heart, and values.
Gadi dedicated his short life to education, volunteer work, and meaningful service—first with youth on Israel’s border communities, and later as a soldier on the front lines. He was a role model, cherished by his friends, a beloved mentor, and a devoted son and brother.
His family, friends, and the community of Afikim wish to honor his memory in ways that carry forward his spirit—through education, community, and giving.
After October 7th, Gadi chose to volunteer with the communities of the Gaza border, and they quickly became a part of his heart in ways no one could imagine.
In his memory, we are building a lookout point at one of his favorite spots in The south of israel.
Every donation will go toward creating a community space filled with the same love and strength that Gadi gave so freely.
