The Helmsley Rehabilitation Center at the Tzafon Medical Center has been designed according to a unique “360°collaborative work environment” model, enabling a holistic framework of care: the patient, the therapist and the treatment.
As part of this innovative approach, a comprehensive medical and rehabilitation solution will be provided in the inpatient department eliminating the need to move between different units, buildings and treatment areas. The purpose of this unique therapeutic model is to promote interdisciplinary teamwork for patients of all ages from the time of the severe injury to his or her return to their home with the best possible level of daily function.
The new center will include 162 inpatient beds and 18 outpatient beds in 5 departments: neurological, orthopedic, geriatric, pediatric, outpatient day-care in addition to cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. Each of the departments will include the most advanced state-of-the- art equipment, spacious inpatient rooms and diverse treatment space that will offer patients everything needed to regain functional, purposeful and meaningful lives. The rehabilitation center will include reinforced security wards assuring the continuation of the process even in emergency times. For additional training, recreation and well-being, the center will also offer a variety of outdoor rehabilitation equipment, comfortable and pleasant waiting as well as entertaining areas, green lawns, benches and paths.
Regional center for outpatient rehabilitation care - The Rehabilitation Center will be the major center for daily - outpatient rehabilitation care following hospital discharge. Patients will have accesses to a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool, physiotherapy gyms, occupational and speech therapy, cardio and pulmonary rehabilitation, virtual reality and a driving simulator.
