• Modiin is 25 Minutes from the nearest hospital and has only one Mobile Intensive Care-
  Advanced Lifesaving ambulance (“ALS/ נט"ן ”)
• When the ALS ambulance is on a call it can take 2 hours to return.
• Modiin urgently needs to upgrade its ALS capability to serve its large and growing population.
• Campaign endorsed by leading ER Doctors and Physicians of Modiin, see letter below.

Help us raise the funds to add a second ALS ambulance in Modiin-Maccabim-Reut as well as ALS kits for ambu-cycles and volunteers.
Donate now.

Modi'in - Maccabim - Reut (“Modiin”) currently has about 100,000 residents (25,000 households) and according to the final plan of the city it is intended to accommodate about a 250,000 residents without a local hospital. Modiin’s location between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem necessitates that the local emergency personnel make independent assessments regarding emergency medicine in Modiin since any Magen David Adom (“MDA”) support from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv takes long and life-threatening waiting times to reach Modiin.
MDA operates an MDA station in Modi'in in order to provide the residents with short response times and save lives, but the station requires an expansion of activities and constant adaptation to the growing population in order to provide quality service to the public in the field of emergency medicine.
MDA is not budgeted by the State, and raises its capital budget for all the rescue vehicles and essential equipment through donations by MDA Friends from Israel and around the world.
This ALS campaign is being spearheaded by Friends of MDA in Israel, together with MDA volunteers in Modi'in and residents who understand the vital need to add and upgrade equipment, and want to strengthen the station in order to save more lives.
We all want to receive emergency medical treatment of the highest quality in order to maximize lifesaving care. Therefore, in order to adequately serve the vital needs of Modiin we need to upgrade our advanced lifesaving capabilities in Modiin with a Mobile Intensive Care ambulance that will provide invasive and life-saving treatments with advanced equipment in an ambulance that monitors the patient, rhythmizes the heart and provides electric shocks if necessary, as well as complementary essential equipment that enables quality and life-saving treatment.
In many cases the lack of a mobile intensive care unit at the time and place makes the difference between life and death!
