Every day, the children we support need expensive medications that help them fight their illness. Many of them have already come a long way and are so close to recovery. But without your help, their treatment may be interrupted.

These are just a few stories of the children under our care who urgently need assistance. Each one has a unique story and a critical need for medical help—and only together can we ensure they receive the life-saving medications they need.

Tanya is 6 years old. In January 2024, she was diagnosed with lymphoma, and her family came to Israel for treatment. Throughout this year, we’ve been supporting Tanya and her family—helping with treatment, medication, and simply being there for them. Now they’ve returned home, where Tanya continues her treatment under the supervision of Dr. Ron from Schneider Hospital.

She goes to kindergarten and the swimming pool, remembers Israel fondly, and excitedly points out familiar symbols. We’re still here for her — Tanya needs expensive medications to continue her treatment.

Amina is 16 years old and has been in treatment for four years. During this time, she has undergone 20 rounds of chemotherapy, 3 courses of radiation, and 2 complex surgeries. Despite it all, she remains vibrant and creative, and she helps other children by participating in our foundation’s initiatives. In December, it became clear that Cabozantinib was working—it was stopping cell growth, and Amina was given a break from treatment until March. The side effects were harsh, but that didn’t stop her from enjoying horseback riding, yoga, and life.

Amina is currently undergoing tests, and we hope she’ll be allowed to return home afterward—but treatment must not be interrupted. These tablets are vital, but the cost is far beyond the family's reach. We continue to support Amina.

Eva is only 5 years old and has nephroblastoma. She has already gone through several complex surgeries, and now the cancer is back. Another operation lies ahead, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. And she needs expensive medications for the entire treatment and recovery process.

Luka from Georgia is 10 years old. Since July 9, 2024, he has been undergoing treatment for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). He has completed four rounds of intensive chemotherapy, each followed by complications.

Right now, Luka is feeling well. On March 25, he is scheduled to have his port removed. He is currently receiving maintenance therapy and preparing to return home.

We are now gathering the necessary medications for him, which he will need to take over the next six months in Georgia.

Let’s help these children get the life-saving medications they need!

The Chance for Life Foundation has been supporting families since 2015, helping children receive treatment for cancer in Israel. We assist in finding medications, organizing treatment, and providing essential support.
