For the 3rd year in a row, a group of children and staff from the Jerusalem Hills Children’s Home will be running in the 5k community Jerusalem Marathon.
The Jerusalem Marathon is the highlight event for the running group and is a significant milestone in the process. The children, with the help of the staff, deal with the major challenge of participating in the marathon, work on their body image, their self-esteem and self-control.
Participating in such a large scale normative event will assist them as they re-enter normative society and begin to build fulfilling lives of their own.
We would like to purchase running equipment for each runner which includes a jacket, bag and shoes. Help the children accomplish their dream and run like professionals.
