Hello, My name is Yitzhak Bejerano from Ramat Gan, I am 65 years old, married and the father of 3 lovely children.
In April 2016 I was diagnosed with terminal kidney disease, 100% disability, since I have undergone dialysis treatments when I am connected to the machine 9 hours a day.
Over the past two years I have been through a number of incidents of infection. I have been hospitalized quite a bit and each time has weakened me and made my situation worse.
My body finds it difficult to continue living like this. Depends on machine and exposed to infections. I need a kidney transplant. This is the only way I can go on living.
After a long period of inquiries and waiting in line for a transplant in Israel, the conclusion was that the only way to get better was by transplanting a kidney abroad.
The cost of kidney transplant abroad is NIS 700,000. Unfortunately, this is an amount my family and I can not afford and the insurance is not willing to pay.
As a result I ask. I want to get 200,000 shekels (about $ 55,000) to help me partially fund the amount I am required for the kidney transplant. Every amount will be welcomed and appreciated and will be able to advance me to realize my dream - to see my children finish their military service, marry, establish a family and of course continue a happy and healthy life with my dear wife who goes through this difficult process, hand in hand, all the way and which I love.
At the end of the mass funding period, the 20 donors who have contributed the highest sums will receive 20 of my original paintings (oil/acrylic on canvas) of their choice.
