This Purim, Give the Gift of a Meal with Leket Israel

For Purim 5786, the Va'ad haKehilah has decided to direct our traditional practice of Mishloach Manot—Matanot LaEvyonim—toward donating meals to those in need through Leket Israel. For 23 years, this organization has been dedicated to rescuing nutritious food and delivering it to those who need it most: the elderly, homebound individuals, families forced to remain in conflict zones, and those displaced from their homes.

In these difficult times, our contributions will make a meaningful impact. Every NIS 180 donated will provide 36 hot meals for those in need, and Leket Israel will ensure that food is distributed even on Purim itself. Donations will be collected no later than March 3, 2026, allowing fresh and nourishing meals to be delivered in time for the holiday.

Hod VeHadar, the Conservative community of Kfar Saba, is proud to partner with Leket Israel to fulfill the mitzvah of Matanot LaEvyonim.
