A little about the Educational Rehabilitative Center:

The Educational Rehabilitative Center of Tsad Kadima in Rishon LeZion is a second home to many infants and children with cerebral palsy who come every day and receive treatments, love, hugs, and a professional education system that accompanies the children and their families. 

The therapy pool, located in the heart of the center, was built in order to enable the children to receive hydrotherapy treatments as an integral part of their rehabilitation program.  

The hydrotherapy treatments are given in the most optimal conditions (constant water temperature of 33 degrees Celsius). Floating in the water relaxes the body and releases tight muscles from inactivity, relaxes joints and tendons, and gives the child an opportunity to move his body easily and enjoyably. 

Pool activities practice independence in real time. For example, undressing, dressing, drying off one’s body, etc. This practice is an essential step toward functional independence for all children and adolescents with cerebral palsy. 

Today 60 children from ages 1 through 15 enjoy hydrotherapy treatments as part of the rehabilitative daycare center, kindergarten, and school. 

The pool is also used for Fun Days, which Tsad Kadima runs throughout the year, with joint activities for children, parents and other family members. 

The cost of treatments are subsidized by the organization and the families do not need to pay for them
