I volunteer in a Children's Home located in the south. This dormitory provides a nurturing home environment for children whose homes have proven unfit for raising children. Kids of all ages are moved from their homes to the Children's Home and provided a setting which sees to their proper nurturing and growth in these critical growing years.
The kids eagerly await the summer break during which they can enjoy and relax outside the context of school. Our hope is to help make their dreams come true and give them the amazing camp-like experience they deserve. Whether it be going on trips outside the Children's home or bringing the entertainment to them, the children really look forward to what we counselors have in store.
