Yanshufim360, a Yanshufim program approved by the Israeli Ministry of Education, strives to ensure the mental and physical well-being of children at risk and to cultivate their personal development and growth. At-risk elementary school children from all of Israel's diverse communities are provided with a safe space and academic and emotional support from positive role models.

This year, the coronavirus pandemic and the ensuing economic crisis has only deepened socio-economic and educational gaps in Israel. Children missed several months of school and support, greatly increasing the risks they face, and their families sunk lower on the socio-economic scale as many people suddenly found themselves out of work. School has been back in session since November, and so have our after-school programs, including Yanshufim360, a program for at-risk children.

This framework is of utmost importance for these children and their families, because it provides these children with a safe, healthy, and encouraging environment where they are provided with a healthy, balanced mid-day meal, homework help, academic support, and exposure to non-academic subjects such as sports, art, and mindfulness.

Given these families tough economic situation, made even more difficult by the coronavirus pandemic, the meal that these children receive at our Yanshufim360 program may be the only meal they get all day. Providing them with a healthy, well-balanced meal not only aids their overall health, but improves concentration levels and enables them to participate and to take full advantage of our holistic programs, which give them the confidence and the tools to succeed.
