Support efforts to bring Tal – and all the other hostages – back home, as well as the rehabilitation of Tal’s wife and children since their release from captivity

Tal Shoham is an Israeli-Austrian citizen and grandson of a Holocaust survivor. He is also a loving father of two, a dear husband, wonderful son, cousin, and friend.

On October 7, Tal (38) was brutally kidnapped from Kibbutz Be’eri by Hamas terrorists, together with his wife Adi (38) and children Naveh (8) and Yahel (3). In total, 9 members of the extended Haran-Shoham-Avigdori family were kidnapped on October 7. Since then, 8 have been released. In addition, 3 were murdered. Tal Shoham still remains in captivity in Gaza by Hamas terrorists.

The weekend of October 7, the Shoham family was visiting Adi’s parents for the Simchat Torah holiday. Tal and Adi had moved away from the kibbutz a few years prior to a moshav in northern Israel, to raise their children far away from the rocket sirens of Be’eri. Adi and her children were in captivity for 50 harrowing, dark, terrifying days, until they were released on November 25. Only upon their release did they learn the horrifying extent of what happened on October 7, including the murder of Adi’s father, other family members, friends and community members. Their road to recovery is long and arduous.

Now, over 9 months after their nightmare began, the family and Tal’s father Gilad – are struggling financially. They cannot work and are focused 24/7 on advocating for Tal’s humanitarian release and their rehabilitation. fund international diplomatic missions, run international ad campaigns, and more. The financial aid they receive from the Israeli government helps but is insufficient – it is much less than they would normally earn and does not cover their expenses, which have risen dramatically.

The Shoham family needs financial support for their ongoing recovery and to make this message heard everywhere: Tal, and all the hostages, are trapped in a multinational humanitarian crisis that demands the world’s urgent response. This is not about Israel, it is about our basic humanity. #BringThemHomeNOW
