For nearly two years, a war rooted in the occupation and the hostages are still in Gaza, soldiers are being killed daily and hundreds of thousands of Gaza residents are suffering from severe hunger. The occupied West Bank is undergoing an ethnic cleansing campaign accompanied by settler violence, while the army stands by. The shepherding communities in the West Bank — those who haven't been expelled — are in greater distress than ever. All of this (and more) is the result of Israel’s failed strategy in the face of the occupation. Members of "Looking the Occupation in the Eye" are staying continuously in the West Bank in order to protect the local residents. We maintain a constant presence in the field thanks to a facility allocated to us in Ras Ein al-Auja, in the southern Jordan Valley. From there, we respond to every call in the area and conduct security patrols using our vehicles and those of volunteer activists. Adding to that we hold home gatherings and preparatory programs and share, both in person and on social media, what is happening in the West Bank — information that mainstream Israeli media hides. Across the country, we work week after week to make the occupation and the opposition to the war visible. We try to convince people that the pursuit of a political solution must become a national priority. All of our activities are conducted by volunteers, and we wish to continue these efforts. To do so we first need your participation — but we also need funding to cover travel expenses and the maintenance cost of the vehicles we use in the West Bank, as well as to print posters, stickers, and banners that we distribute at protest events throughout the country.
Donations are welcome.
