The story:
Bab llinsan - Shaar LaAdam was founded in 2002, at the end of the wave of violence of the second intifada, to serve as a meeting centre between different cultures, allowing us to create together, study together, volunteer together and plant seeds for peaceful coexistence in the Jewish Arab Israeli society.
Since, Bab lilinsan - Shaar LaAdam has served as host to a number of programs that brings Jewish and Arab Israelis together through the arts, ecology and multiculturalism, as well as additional activities for adults and youth around the world. These programs include the devotion house, the midrasha, project ten, young leadership project and the ecological educational farm.
The devotion house:
Today, while we face the racism and violence that rages in Israeli society, it is very important that Bab lil\'Insan-Sha\'ar La\'Adam strengthens and expands its endeavors. In order to achieve these goals we must complete the devotion house. The devotion house is the home of the cultural-spiritual life of the centre. We believe this crowd funding campaign will allow us to move forward with this initiative, to strengthen our bonds and the collective action between the local communities in the galilee and to expand our bond with communities world wide.
The goal:
We ask for your support in completing the devotion house.
Today, the devotion house already allows for activities, such as seminars about important topics related to life in Israel: religion, culture, and awareness of peace and conflict as well as artistic activities like music and theater. With the help of generous donors in Israel and abroad we completed the skeleton and the roof, shelter, bathroom, kitchenette, and outer walls. However, unfortunately we do not have the means to complete the building and make it available to the public. Without completing the devotion house Bab lil\'Insan-Sha\'ar la"Adam is limited in its ability to bring communities together and create a shared culture, and to contribute to the diverse fabric of life in the galilee.
The doners are invited to be members of the "joint movement towards a new human culture". and will be invited to attend three conferences in the devotion house every year.
You are invited to donate with all your heart to this important goal.
