Help The Schoolhouse to provide education to refugees in Israel!

Education is crucial for increasing opportunities and for reducing risks in the lives of asylum seekers. Education empowers the community, promotes leadership and helps mitigate the hardships associated with statelessness and an uncertain future.

The Schoolhouse is a diverse community committed to advancing social justice & equal opportunity through education. We believe that education can help every person make a positive change in his or her life, despite the most challenging circumstances. We provide essential tools, skills, and knowledge to reduce the vulnerability and increase social inclusion and economic opportunities for refugees. Today, The Schoolhouse is the leading adult refugee education organization in Israel and one of the leading service providers to the refugee community.

The Schoolhouse is growing each week with new students as we continue to provide the most resilient and practical tool- education, for independence, self-reliance, and the safety of our community. This is why we need your support more than ever. This holiday season, we'll ask you to give the gift of education and help us to provide scholarships and materials for our students.

1. $50 is enough to give an asylum seeker in need a one-month scholarship to study.

2. $100 provides the books for an entire class of asylum seekers studying English.

3. $200 covers the cost of a Basic Computer Skills course for asylum seekers bridging the digital gap

4. $500 is a full year scholarship including materials for one of our women students to focus on learning.

5. $1000 is a full scholarship for 1-semester for 4 of our struggling students, for example, single mothers and victims of trafficking and torture

Thank you for your support!
