Kibbutz Karmiya needs your help

Every year at Kibuth Karmiya we celebrate Simchat Torah with a marvelous event. On the morning of October 7th, our community was sleeping under the stars as part of the festival. In the early hours of the morning, our celebration was shattered by the sounds of bombs falling, gunfire and sirens wailing. Our children were exposed to Hamas ISIS terrorists on that cursed Sabbath. Without any protection!!! Karmiya is situated less than 4 km from the Gaza border and we do not have any secure place for all of our community to stay in while celebrating life!

We ask for your help to build a large enough shelter (building) that will be used as a meeting place for seniors and teens, for functions and celebrations to be held in safety.

Our community doesn’t have a secure safe place to meet and celebrate festivals and cultural events without the constant threat of bombing and attacks from Gaza. We know that in the coming days of recovery, offering a safe space for the community will be crucial for its healing and recovery process. This is our right.
