A group of runners from all over the country enlisted to run in the upcoming Samsung Tel Aviv Marathon and dedicate their run to raise money for children with cancer and Rachashei Lev.
Come join and help them reach their goal, donate and support them for the heroic children.
Rachashei Lev helps children with cancer and their families with essential support that the health system is not intended to provide, helping not only to extract the disease from the child, but also to extract the child from his or her disease.
The organization works in the pediatric oncology departments at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv and Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, and conducts activities around the clock to assist 550 children and their families every year in coping with their disease and treatment.
The professional staff members and team of 250 volunteers accompany the children in the hospitals every day and do everything possible to lift their mood and distract them from fear and pain. Rachashei Lev provides the children and their parents with a range of amenities to use and services during hospitalization, including: computers; televisions; treatment armchairs; book and video libraries; games; light meals; medical guidance; international medical expert consulting; psychological consulting; occupational therapy; alternative medicine; family financial assistance; wish ambulance travel; loaned medical and rehabilitation equipment; and more.
On the Sheba Medical Center campus, Rachashei Lev established the Children’s House facility, a center for cancer patients from all over the country. The Children’s House, which features two apartment buildings with 20 deluxe suites and a central activity building, offers children and their parents free round-the-clock accommodations. Hot meals, game rooms, computer rooms, a library, support workshops, day trips, and special events are all provided free of charge while patients are under treatment.
We believe that when patients receive state-of-the-art professional medical care along with Rachashei Lev's complementary support, it is possible to rebuild even when cancer destroys.
