FIRU, the Friends of Israel Rugby Union, supports and fundraises on behalf of the Israel Rugby Union, raising essential money to support the growth of rugby as a competitive sport in Israel and ensure the participation of the Israel Rugby team in International leagues and sporting events.

This is a long term initiative starting with community grassroots activity to sponsoring player growth via International training partnerships and ensuring the union has the equipment and funds necessary to successfully grow Rugby in Israel into a National team sport.

The Rugby Union Long Term Goals:

• Establish Rugby as a Leading Team Sport in Israel
• Compete for Top Ranks in International Championships
• Establish The Israeli Rugby Academy for Excellence
• Represent Israel in the 2028 International Olympics
