Nika Berger started her work at Magen David Adom in the 9th grade after completing a special training course that trains teenagers to provide first aid care. After completing the course, Nika began to volunteer at the MDA Arad station. She took shifts every week and always encouraged her friends who also volunteered at the station to come with her. Nika always went above and beyond by taking on extra shifts, participating in event security, and assisting with food drives on holidays and other activities that were managed by the station. Nika was always there to help when more volunteers were needed.
Later on, Nika completed the MDA mass casualty event training program and helped to train the next generation of young volunteers.
When Nika graduated from high school she started her 2 years of national service as an EMT at the Tel Aviv Medical Center. She always performed her role with great dedication, helping the station above and beyond her working duties and people returned their love and gratitude to her.
Every patient that she saw received the most dedicated care, and she treated everyone with respect and empathy.
Nika was loved by her friends and colleagues and made many good friends.
Nika planned to continue her career in emergency medicine when she enrolled in the emergency medicine and nursing degree program at Assaf Ha-Rofeh Hospital and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Magen David Adom was her life's calling!
Beyond MDA, Nika was a girl with a big heartwarming smile. It was impossible not to fall in love with her, every person who was by her side was happy. She loved to dance, travel, spend time with her family and friends, go to concerts, and explore the world!
